In the spring, I saw this adorable string art on Pinterest. I knew I was going to have to try it at some point, but I wasn't sure what or who for. See the original post here.
Thanks to Natalie from Creme de la Craft for letting me use her photo!!
As Father's Day approached, I wracked my brain for a gift idea. My dad isn't the easiest person to buy for, and he doesn't like me "wasting" money on him, either. I was thinking about the hat I had given my mom for mother's day, and thought I should try making him something, too. I got the idea to try this string art using craft wire to make it rough and manly.
For the design, I thought I'd be punny and use the words "Dad, you keep me grounded." My sentimental thought is that he reminds me where I came from and what's important, but I used a ground screw (electrical thing) for the period in my attempt to be witty. Below is the finished product.
I was thinking he might hang it out in the garage where he works on the cars and does other manly things. I was wrong. It has found it's home above his silver throne.
